Scientific studies in America have proved that the most popular diets have no benefit in terms of heart health and are not superior to each other in losing weight.

A study has been conducted with 2559 patients whose body mass indexes are 92.5 kg.  and average 45 years old. Results of a study about the popular diet with cardiovascular risk factors in terms of weight loss, blood pressure, sugar and cholesterol are listed below.

ALL DIET HELPED LOSE 2.2 KILOGRAMS

Research published in respected Circulation, Journal of cardiology November 2014, was conducted between 2003-2011 with 12 studies with high proof value.

Patients who applied the most common low-carbohydrate diet methods in the world, Atkins, South Beach and Zone;  Weight Watchers methods including low calorie and behavior therapy were followed for 1-2 years.

When the results are analyzed, no diet is superior to the other, no winner has been determined. A weight loss of 2.2 kg was found in both groups.

In the first 12 months Weight Watchers diet group lost more weight. Atkins and Weight Watchers diet gained the lost weight at 24th month.
